No Philosophy is an independent clothing brand with an annual line of printed cotton shirts. Each collection is created around one key concept which is ventured through imagery, words, video and installation.

The present Noise and Silence collection explores the borderlines of beauty by bringing the awareness of  temporality, elusiveness, fragility and chaos. On the one hand they limit, on the other they enable, thus creating a conflict that troubles and makes us feel. Where beauty ends it in fact begins.

Noise and Silence manifesto

All existent emerges, transforms and at some point, disappears: You, me, molecules, a caring thought or a delicate posture.
The conflict: Nobody wishes love to decay, resilient skin to gain more marks or a meaningful moment to come to an end – and yet, the limits of beauty are its preconditions;

Would an orchid maintain it’s allure if it never withered? Would silence be so loud if it had never faced chaos? Would a deserved rest feel like a blessing if the moment extended forever?

Hence the awareness of impermanence, a beautiful matter feels unique and irreplaceable, a commodity to be appreciated now or never. It's an intangible feeling that comes around the corner, unexpected, residing in the bitter tension between pure joy and desolate sadness, life and death, apparent harmony and prowling chaos.

The nature of beauty’s borderlines is two-fold: on the one hand it limits, on the other it enables, thus creating a conflict that troubles and makes us feel. Where beauty ends it in fact begins.

Live with it!
Accept the constant flow, intangible feeling of being on the edge of little things
bigger than life, and the unbearable awareness that
